EF podEnglish.. level 2, lessons 30 – 32

سنتابع الدروس مع قناة EF podEnglish، سنبدأ بالمقال الحادي عشر (المقال السادس من المستوى الثاني) الذي يتضمن الدروس من 30 – 32، نتمنى لك مشاهدة ممتعة ومفيدة.

(ننصحك بإتمام الدروس الثلاثة السابقة في المقال السابق من هنا، قبل أن تبدأ بالدروس التالية)..

 

• الدرس 30 :

Talking about (should and have to).

• To break a habit: To stop doing something. (الإقلاع عن عادة)

Hooked/Addicted: you can’t stop doing something.

Ex: She’s hooked on smoking, she can’t give up.

• Have to/Had to/Should:

• We use have to/had to: necessity. (للضرورة)
• We use should: it’s a good idea. (للنصيحة)

Have to: present.

Had to: past

Ex 1: The doctor told him he had to give up smoking.

Ex 2: Smoking is really bad for you, you should give up.

• الدرس 31 :

Quantities and cooking.

• Some/lots of:

Some < lots of

Ex 1: It needs some salt. (بعض)

Ex 2: It needs lots of salt. (الكثير من)

• Countable nouns and uncountable nouns. (الأسماء المعدودة وغير المعدودة)

Countable nouns like: eggs, apples and bananas.

Uncountable nouns like: water, bread, meat, money and milk.

• Many/Much: (العديد من)

We use many with countable nouns and we use much with uncountable nouns.

Ex 1: How many carrots? …… (carrots is countable noun)

Ex 2: How much meat? …… (meat is uncountable noun)

• الدرس 32 :

Making comparisons using superlatives.

• The superlative is used when you compare than two things.

• To make the superlative we add est to the adjective.

Ex: he’s the tallest in the class.

• With long adjectives we use the most.

Ex: The most expensive.

The most crowded.

•  When the adjective ends y we delete y and add iest.

Ex: Busy >> Busiest.

Happy >> Happiest.

Friendly >> Friendliest.

• Good >> Best.

• Vacation: (العطلة)

Package tour: a cheap vacation.

Resort: a place where you go on vacation.

A tight budget: not much money to spend.
